Our sale will open on Saturday, February 10th at 9 AM Mountain Standard Time. It will be a combined tuber and rooted cuttings sale. Both will be available at the same time.

This year, we will be include one free metal plant ground staking label with every tuber or rooted cutting your purchase. Buy 5 tubers, get 5 metal stakes. Buy 10 rooted cuttings, get 10 metal stakes. Buy all of the above and get 15 metal stakes. It's our way of saying thank you for trusting us and to wishing you a very successful growing season.
MICRO-FARMING REALITIES
"Dahlia Wars" can be frustrating! We know. While we wish that we had enough tubers for everyone, we grow what we grow. We hold back some stock for replanting and propagation and make the rest available for sale. Some years, we hold back more of certain varieties to rebuild stock. We place for sale everything we can. Not everyone will get what they were hoping to acquire. We're sorry if low stock goes fast, but please don't send angry emails or messages about how "ridiculous it is." Be kind to micro-farmers. Be gracious to other dahlia growers.
INVENTORY
We have completed a firm inventory of tubers. Firm Inventory means we have verified eyes on these tubers at the time we divided them. We have many more tubers in storage that may have eyes, but we do make them available for sale them until they present a clear and visible eye. We hand divide tubers and have personally verified eyes.
We only ship tubers with verified eyes.
IMPORTANT!! A COMBO SALE. HOW IT WORKS.
The Rooted Cuttings Sale will open on the same day and at the same time as the Tuber Sale. You may order Tubers and Rooted Cuttings in the same order, but we CANNOT ship tubers and cuttings in the same package and so there are two shipping fee schedules. To review these rates Click HERE. The website's check-out system will calculate a shipping rate at the time of checkout based upon what is in your cart.
If you only have tubers, then only the tuber shipping fee schedule will apply.
If you only have rooted cuttings in the shopping cart, then only the rooted cuttings shipping fee schedule will apply.
HOWEVER, if you have BOTH tubers and rooted cuttings in the shopping cart, then the website's check-out system will calculate two shipping fees that are combined into a single shipping rate.
FOR EXAMPLE, if you purchase $28 dollars' worth of tubers in an order and $78 worth of rooted cuttings in the same shopping cart, the system will calculate a combined shipping amount of $29.00. That is $9.00 for the tuber shipment and $20.00 for the Rooted Cuttings shipment.
Again, the reason for this is that we CANNOT ship tubers and cuttings at the same time. They will arrive in two separate boxes under two separate shipments with separate tracking numbers.

COMBINED SHIPPING
The good news is that we will combine shipping for multiple tuber orders or multiple cuttings orders. If you place more than one order before your shipment date, we will recalculate the total amount of the combined purchases, update the shipping amount, and refund your credit card with the difference. This is a manual process and will occur immediately prior to shipping.
RESTOCKS
As the spring progresses, we anticipate many of our other tubers to develop verified eyes. When they do, we will move them to the "Verified To Sell" category and restock our website inventory. We do not have specific dates for restocks.

RE-STOCK FEE
If an order is shipped to the address provided by the buyer and is returned by the Post office or the order is refused/returned to us for any reason, a 25% re-stocking fee will apply before a refund is issued – shipping/handling charges are non-refundable. If an order needs to be re-shipped, shipping/handling charges will apply.
LOST PACKAGE
If your order tracking shows that your package has been delivered, we ask that you take the tracking number provided in the shipment email to your local Post Office for assistance locating your package. Many times, a package will be incorrectly marked as delivered but taken back to the Post Office for pickup as your mail delivery person did not feel safe leaving the package at that time. If an order is lost in shipment and we can provide documented delivery, the order will be replaced at the buyer's expense. We are not liable for packages left at your delivery address.
SHOPPING CART POLICIES
Each listing is for one tuber or one cutting. We do not sell clumps. Website sales are first come, first served. Adding a product to your cart does not hold it for purchase. Your order isn't confirmed until you check out and receive a confirmation email.
REFUNDS OR REPLACEMENT POLICY
All tubers are guaranteed to be in healthy condition, guaranteed to grow and be true to name. Each tuber will have at least one viable eye but may be dormant when shipped. Please know that we personally hand-divide and inspect each tuber and ensure there is an eye before we place it in storage. Sometimes, eyes recede in cool storage. Please place your tuber in a warm place to allow it to "eye up". Inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
Any claims that your order is incorrect, damaged from cold or from shipping must be made within 48-hours. We want you to have a great experience and a great product, but we must insist that you open and inspect your order immediately. Not doing so may lead to damage caused by consumer neglect. Any claims of damaged or incorrect orders after 48-hours of receipt will be the responsibility of the customer. After which, all sales are final.
Please DO NOT DISPOSE of any tubers or plants until you have contacted us. We reserve the right to request the return of any failed dahlia(s) or photos of them before replacements are made. If a tuber has failed, a replacement of the same variety will be sent during the same growing season or the following spring (depending on your location, available stock, and time of year). The guarantee is limited to the failed tuber purchase price and does not include shipping and handling.
If an order is shipped to an address provided by the buyer and is returned by the U.S. Postal Service as invalid or undeliverable, the order can be re-shipped. Shipping and handling fees will be collected prior to reshipment, or the order may be returned to stock, and a 25% restocking fee will apply (shipping and handling fees are non-refundable).
Packaging Errors: Open the packaging and inspect your tubers immediately. Make sure you received the correct amount and the correct varieties. If your order is incorrect, you must contact us within 48-hours, and we will correct the order by sending out the correct varieties or refunding the missing varieties. After which, all sales are final.
STORAGE LOSS
Loss of tubers during storage is common, especially for certain varieties. We do our best to undersell our stock of tubers. However, it is possible that between the time you purchase and the time we begin shipping, we may experience loss in our storage. If that happens, we will notify you and refund the purchase price of the tuber that is no longer available. If you ordered other varieties, they will ship as expected. If you did not order any other varieties, your shipping fee will also be refunded.
PEST & DISEASE CONTROL
For pest control, we spray every 15 days using Captain Jack's Organic Pest Control. Fortunately, we don't face as severe a bug problem in Idaho as in other parts of the country.
To control viruses, we sanitize between cuts on each plant using a 10% bleach solution. If a plant displays signs of a virus, we cull it. As growers/sellers, we take our responsibility to produce healthy plants seriously.
To introduce new cultivars into our collection, we utilize a special isolation field. Additionally, we keep meticulous records of tuber varieties and their producers. This information helps us identify if there are viral problems from specific producers.
We harvest by hand. During harvest, we clean our loppers, shovels, and forks with a 10% bleach solution and antibacterial soap. Although we've never encountered gall, we don't take chances. The future of our farm depends on it. We can't risk a bacterial infection affecting our crop.
We understand the importance of preventing the spread of viruses to maintain the health and quality of our dahlias. By choosing hand harvesting over mechanical methods, we not only ensure the highest quality of our flowers and tubers but also actively work to protect our crops from the detrimental impact of viral and bacterial diseases. This approach is a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainable, responsible farming practices that prioritize the well-being of our plants and the satisfaction of our customers.
Fortunately, our farm has never had gall introduced to any of our fields and beds. It is our policy that all plants exhibiting gall will be culled immediately. We will then dig out and dispose of the dirt from the location of the plant with gall, and nothing will be planted in that spot for a few years to ensure that gall is not transferred to another plant.
